The Assumption Parish Community is invited to join fellow parishioners, family members and friends in a Lenten retreat, right here in our own Parish.

Through daily Mass, scripture study, hospitality and evening prayer, Fr. Jude and Sr. Patricia Bruno, OP will guide us to a deeper sprituality and stronger sense of the sacred in our ordinary lives. The retreat is designed that each session is unique, giving you more than one opportunity to participate, and to encourage you to attend as many sessions as your schedule will allow. Here's how it work:

Morning (Monday thru Thursday)

8:30 a.m. Mass Celebrated by the retreat leaders, followed by refreshments

10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Scripture sharing led by the retreat leaders (child care available)

Evenings: (Monday thru Thursday)

7:30p.m. -8:45p.m. Evening prayer led by the retreat leaders including preaching and rituals involving various groups from our parish communty

Welcome to Church of the Assumption website. We are a community, called as God's beloved, who are willing to engage in the sometimes struggle to follow the Lord Jesus faithfully. If you struggle to follow what Jesus asks of us, you are welcome here. If you don't live up to everything that the Church teaches and you wonder if there is a place for you, you are welcome here. I have always felt that it is better to have half a church of "real" humans embracing the call to be more like Christ than it is to have a church overflowing with "saved" people. If you are looking for a church community, we extend an open invitation to join us for worship and fellowship. You are more than welcome!
